It is hard to believe I am writing this in the last week of 2025. Like every year, I set goals and milestones to achieve. And, like many years, I was a little aggressive in what I hoped and expected to accomplish.

In 2025, my goals were:

  • Exercising 3x a week = Done.
  • Losing 10 pounds = Done.
  • Creating this author website = Done.
  • Increasing my income = Nope, any money made went into self-pub.
  • Finishing the first draft of my novel = I am 7500 words away!!
  • Finishing a training course = 50% complete.
  • Having two Date Nights a month = Done.
  • Helping with my son’s wedding = Done.
  • Communicating with loved ones weekly = Done.
  • Going to a concert = Done. We saw Andrea Bocelli.
  • Going on a brewery tour = Done. We went to Sweet Water Brewery.
  • Going on a winery tour = Done. We went to Montaluce Vineyards.
  • A daily quiet time = 50%, hit or miss weekly.
  • Reading 15 books= Done. Read 34 total!!

Like I said, a little aggressive. But, I would rather shoot for something than nothing.

I volunteered in 2025 and got to attend WorldCon in Seattle virtually. It was great interacting with indie authors and friends online.

One big goal for 2026 is to publish “The Curse of All Things Pure” and release it at WorldCon 2026. Still a lot of proofing, polishing and Beta reading to go.

Hope to see you in 2026!!
